BarrGate installs, automates and maintains electric gates for homes and businesses across Great Barr, Birmingham and the wider West Midlands. We work as the installation and aftercare team — surveying entrances, fitting gates and automation, and coming back for the servicing and repairs that keep them running.
Gates themselves are supplied by Readymade Gates, a UK manufacturer we work with regularly. BarrGate handles everything from the survey and groundwork through to automation, testing and long-term support — the manufacturer builds the gate, we make sure it does its job on your property.
What we hold ourselves to
Reliability
A gate is a moving part on a building — it needs to work in January as reliably as it does in June. We fit and set up every gate with that in mind.
Workmanship
Cabling run tidily, motors set to the correct force, gaps and gradients checked before we call a job finished. The parts you can't see get the same attention as the ones you can.
Clear communication
Quotes explain what's included in plain terms, and the person who visits site is the person you can ring afterwards with a question.
Safety
Automated gates carry real force. We set photocells, edge protection and force limits properly, and we'll say so if a gate isn't safe to automate as it stands.
Long-term support
Aftercare doesn't stop at handover
Most of our repair call-outs are for gates we didn't originally install. Wiring gets damaged, sensors drift out of alignment, tracks fill with debris — normal wear for a piece of equipment that sits outside all year. We service gates on a schedule where wanted, and we're straightforward about what a repair will involve before we start.

Our base in Great Barr puts most of Birmingham and the Black Country within a short drive, which keeps site visits and call-outs prompt. We regularly work across Sutton Coldfield, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Solihull and the surrounding West Midlands.
